Strong Body, Ageless Body

I know it’s not a beauty product, but weight training is a huge weapon in beating back Father Time. Unfortunately, I’ve kinda let it slide for months now.

So I launched a search for a new DVD to snap me back into sculpted shape. A routine that’s hard enough for quick results, but “do-able” so I won’t procrastinate.

Good reviews on Collage Video www.collagevideo.com prompted me to order Strong Body, Ageless Body with Erin O’Brien $14.95.

The workout consists of the standard brief warm-up and cool down. In between, O’Brien takes you through a 20-minute standing routine alternating light upper body weights with squats and lunges and then 20-minutes of floor work. So far, I’ve done this workout twice and I like it a lot. Just when I think I can’t do one more rep, she moves on to working another body part.

O’Brien is motivating without being annoyingly perky. She'll make you feel like you've had a private session with a pricey personal trainer.

Will report actual results in a couple of weeks… Well, if I’m not too busy showing off my new bikini-ready body.

  1. Hey PBW,
It is just great when you find a new workout routine that gets your blood pumping. I too have fallen off of the body sculpting wagon. I have since revisited the "I'll have another scoop" and "make that a king size" wagon so thanks for this post. The weather is great and I want to be fit and fab!
    Great post.

  4. Heya, thanks for visiting my blog! You're a writer - I would love to be a writer but I don't seem to have the discipline to sit myself down to write. :D Anyway, yay for weight lifting. I really should do more exercise but again... the discipline issue. :) G'luck with the new exercise dvd. Hopefully it works and if so, let us know about the results!

I've been searching for a scultping workout, so I got to try your dvd from collage, I just don't know what it is about strength training that just bores the heck out of me. I prefer dancing it's my new weapon to fight mother nature. My favorite dance exercise video right now is DanceX - Everybody's workout with Kenn Kihiu http://www.dancexfitness.com amazing. It’s fun easy to follow with some great music. There is a lady in the background who looks just like me and she seems to be just fighting to keep up with the instructor so it makes me feel like I'm not all alone.
