Last week I rode the country’s biggest rollercoaster without leaving the house.
Watching my retirement account gave me the rocket speeds, hairpin turns and 400-foot plummets of an amusement park ride - with none of the fun. And like a real coaster, I screamed throughout the experience and wanted to throw up afterwards.
Now I’m a good saver, but recent financial headlines have shown me I’m going to have to be an even better one.
So how do you balance beauty and your budget?
Me? I washed my face and slathered on a coat of Freeman’s Cucumber
Facial Peel Off Mask ($3.99 at most drug and discount stores). Then I reached in the cabinet for two Lipton tea bags. I dipped them in hot water a few moments, before plunging them in ice water.
Turning off the financial news, I kicked back and covered my computer-weary eyes with the chilled tea bags. Fifteen minutes later I peeled away the mask and discarded the tea bags.
The results: revitalized skin and refreshed eyes. All for a few cents!
Now it’s your turn. Clue me in on your tips to keep the glamour going in the midst of economic uncertainty.
